Pet Vaccination Guide
Keep your pet healthy with regular vaccinations

Puppy Vaccination Schedule
8 to 11 weeks
- General exam
- Distemper/Parvovirus vaccine (1 of 3 series for puppies)
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
- Begin heartworm, flea and tick preventatives
12 to 15 weeks
- General exam
- Distemper/Parvovirus vaccine (2 of 3 series for puppies)
- Leptospirosis vaccine (1 of 2 series)
- OPTIONAL: Bordetella vaccine, Lyme vaccine, and/or Influenza vaccine (1 of 2 series)
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
16+ weeks
- General exam
- Rabies vaccine
- Distemper/Parvovirus vaccine (3 of 3 series for puppies)
- Leptospirosis vaccine (2 of 2 series)
- OPTIONAL: Bordetella vaccine, Lyme vaccine, and/or Influenza vaccine (2 of 2 series)
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
6 to 7 months
- Heartworm test (done at 6 to 7 months, 12 to 13 months, then annually if kept up to date)
Kitten Vaccination Schedule
8 to 11 weeks
- General exam
- FVRCP vaccine (1 of 3 series for kittens)
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
- Begin flea and tick preventative
12 to 15 weeks
- General exam
- FVRCP vaccine (2 of 3 series for kittens)
- OPTIONAL: FELV vaccine (1 of 2 series) (Must test to give vaccine)
- OPTIONAL: FELV/FIV test
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
16+ weeks
- General exam
- Rabies vaccine
- FVRCP vaccine (3 of 3 series for kittens)
- OPTIONAL: FELV vaccine (2 of 2 series)
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
Adult Animal Vaccination Schedule
Rabies
- Must complete 1 yr. vaccine
- Then can get 3 yr. vaccine (must be given within 30 days after due date to continue with the 3 yr. vaccines)
Distemper (FVRCP or DAPP/DHPP)
- Must complete booster series 3-4 weeks apart (2 part vaccine series for adults)
- If 5-6 weeks after initial vaccine, that is okay we tell owner’s 3-4 weeks for scheduling
- Then can get 1 yr. vaccine (must be given within 30 days after due date)
- Then can get 3 yr. vaccine (must be given within 30 days after due date to continue with the 3 yr. vaccines)
Annual Vaccines
- Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Influenza, Lyme, Feline Leukemia, etc. * Must complete booster series 3-4 weeks apart (2-part vaccine series for adults) excluding Bordetella * Then can get 1 yr. vaccine (must be given within 30 days after due date)
Annual Visits
- General exam
- Rabies vaccine
- Distemper/Parvovirus vaccine OR FVRCP vaccine
- Fecal test for intestinal parasites
- Deworming medication
- DOGS: Heartworm test
- DOGS: Leptospirosis vaccine
- DOG OPTIONAL: Bordetella vaccine, Lyme vaccine, and/or Influenza vaccine
- CAT OPTIONAL: FELV vaccine and/or FELV/FIV test (Must test to give vaccine)
- Wellness bloodwork recommended for pets five years or older
