This year’s annual Mutt March fundraising walk, which is in its 32nd year, is going virtual! Although we would much rather be with you in person, a virtual walk enables participation from anywhere, by anyone and by any species!

You can support the Michigan Humane’s life-changing work by launching a Mutt March team to raise dollars for essential pet food for families in need, lifesaving veterinary care for vulnerable animals and a safe community through vaccinations, sterilizations and animal cruelty investigations and rescue. Walk together, socially distanced, in your neighborhood on Sunday, July 26, in support of a humane community!

Here is how you can change a life right from your own neighborhood, no matter where you live!

  • First, register today at During registration, you may create your own team, join an existing team or register as an individual.
  • Once registered, set your fundraising goal and personal fundraiser page where you can share a story, show off a pet photo, see donations to your page, share your page and edit your information.
  • Review the emailed Toolkit for effective, fun and simple fundraising techniques and ideas to help you reach your Mutt March goal.
  • Access the Toolkit along with rewards, how your dollars change lives, coaching emails, printable poster and yard sign and other event information at

You can fundraise in many ways, even virtually. Here are a few fun ideas to raise the most dollars!

  • Host a virtual Mutt-Hattan or Cat-Tail cocktail hour or Let’s Make a Donation party with friends and family
  • Launch a challenge to your colleagues
  • Create a can and bottle drive to increase your fundraising dollars

Your participation in this event will raise the critical funds for Michigan Humane to provide essential veterinary care, rescue injured and sick animals and support families in need with pet food and supplies. Your fundraising dollars are necessary to help the families and animals who need us this year.
