Meet Marley - a young, sensitive sweetheart who is ready to find her forever home - ideally with cat-savvy adopters who appreciate reading feline body language and building trust at a cat's pace. Once she feels safe, Marley is affectionate, playful, and deeply endearing. She is a gentle, thoughtful girl who takes a little time to warm up in new situations. Loud or sudden noises may cause her to retreat at first, but she's resilient and curious - often returning on her own to investigate once things settle. She approaches new people cautiously, usually starting with a sniff, but she shows affection by rubbing her head and body against hands and household objects.
Marley has been working through gentle desensitization for handling and nail trims and has made good progress with slow, positive sessions. She responds best to gradual approaches rather than being rushed. Marley enjoys interactive play, especially chasing wand and string toys. When she rolls onto her back, it's an invitation for play - not hands - and she does best when paws and playful mouthing are redirected to toys. Her play style is typical of a young cat learning appropriate outlets for energy!
