The Michigan Humane Society is sadden to learn that original Troy Police Department cat Pawfficer Badges died over the weekend at the age of two.
Troy PD announced on Twitter today that Badges died on Saturday from feline leukemia while in the care of Leuk’s Landing. She was originally adopted from MHS to be Troy’s police cat in 2018 but was forced to retire due to her illness, which is highly contagious to other cats. Troy PD eventually adopted Badges’ successor, Pawfficer Donut, from MHS.

We want to thank Leuk’s Landing for providing a loving home for Badges as she lived out the rest of her life.
