Are you wondering how to participate in the Mutt March Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes? Well, it’s easy!

Follow the steps below and join us for Mutt March Weekend to crack the clue(s). To qualify to win the $1,500 prize, you must:

  1. Attend one of the 2021 Mutt March onsite locations (in the schedule below)
  2. Solve the Official Scavenger Hunt Clue in any of the three given locations
  3. Capture a photo of the item you believe is the answer to the given clue
  4. Post your photo on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #MuttMarchHunt and tagging Michigan Humane
  5. You are only required to post one correctly captured photo of one of the pre-determined Mutt March Scavenger Hunt Sweepstake items, following the given clue(s)

Saturday, August 28

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Stony Creek Metropark - Baypoint Beach
    • Scavenger Hunt Clue #1: “There is no fire, no need to yelp. But in case of emergency, look for the yellow help.” 
    •  Scavenger Hunt Clue #2: “You can rest on me in the shade. I’m round, cool, and sturdy. And look no further for a spot for your friends because there are three of me in a row.”
  • 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Atwater Brewery, Grosse Pointe Park (After 6 on Kercheval Street Fest)
    • Scavenger Hunt Clue #1: “Find the world in your heart.”
    • Scavenger Hunt Clue #2: “Look no further than the arched entry to the walled garden – minus the flowers.”
    • Scavenger Hunt Clue #3: “When it’s after six on Kercheval, and you’re late, late, late – look up to me to make your date.”

Sunday, August 29

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Kensington Metropark - Maple Beach
    • Scavenger Hunt Clue #1: “Let’s go back in time, to times of yore. When making the king laugh, was quite the chore.”
    • Scavenger Hunt Clue #2: “I’m a fish out of water, where could I be?”

    How To Enter:
    The odds of winning Michigan Humane’s Mutt March Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes are based on the random drawing of eligible participants. To become an eligible participant…

    1. Read the official rules for Michigan Humane’s Mutt March Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes
    2. Using the scavenger hunt clues above, find, capture, and submit your social media-based photo entry before the given closing date of the promotion period. Social media platforms in use for Michigan Humane’s Mutt March Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes are Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. By correctly posting one of the selected Scavenger Hunt items and using the hashtag (#MuttMarchHunt), participants will be entered for a chance to win $1,500
    3. Now wait for a chance to win $1,500

    Eligibility: Open to residents of the United States and eighteen (18) years of age or older or accompanied by a legal guardian. All eligible participants will be required to have posted an image of one of the pre-selected scavenger hunt items during the promotion period, using the hashtag #MuttMarchHunt, on their respective social media page on one of three platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

    Duration: Michigan Humane’s Mutt March Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 AM ET on August 27 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on August 29 (“Promotion Period”). A random social media-based drawing will occur at 10:00 AM on August 30.

    Prize: The randomly selected winner will be awarded the following prize…

    One (1) grand prize winner will receive $1,500 in US Currency, taxed according to Federal and Michigan State Law.  Winner will be required to provide a completed Form W-9 and will receive a Form 1099 reporting this income.  An alternate winner will be randomly selected in the event the winner fails to provide a Form W-9 within seven days of the request for same.
