Michigan Humane’s work is made possible by our many generous donors, foundation and corporate partners. One of those partners is Zoetis, the manufacturer of veterinary vaccines, treatments and preventatives, including Simparica Trio, ProHeart12 and Revolution.
Thanks to Zoetis’s generosity, thousands of shelter animals will be protected from fleas, ticks and heartworm this year. Zoetis also makes it possible for us to protect hundreds of dogs in our community from heartworm, pets whose owners trust Michigan Humane to help meet their family’s health needs through our One Health spay/neuter and vaccine clinics and other community programs.
Another way Zoetis helps Michigan Humane is by providing hands-on skill training for our veterinary team. By bringing these types of programs to our shelter and clinic staff, Zoetis keeps us updated on new and emerging medications, changes in medicines, and current procedures, allowing Michigan Humane to provide the best possible care to the animals we serve.
Zoetis also shows their faith in Michigan Humane by supporting us through event sponsorship. Already this year, they sponsored our Day of Giving Telethon and Great Lakes Animal Welfare Conference, as well as upcoming events like the 2021 Mutt March and the Purrfect Bow Wow Brunch. We are proud to use the high-quality products provided by Zoetis in our shelters and recommend and offer them to our veterinary clinic clients. A bonus for our clients is the Zoetis Pet Care Rewards program, which earns points that can be used to cover veterinary expenses in the future.
