Westland Veterinary Center

Dr. Joshua Kim, DVM

Dr. Kim is a Michigan transplant from the dry deserts and salty beaches of California. He left the West Coast to study at the Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine, which is also where he met his future wife. With a love for camping, fishing, hiking, and trees, it was inevitable that he would end up staying in PURE Michigan. His (soon-to-be) wife is a Michigan native and you can usually spot them in the woods somewhere with their crazy, one of a kind blue eyed heeler hound mix. The rest of their pack (one guinea pig and two kitties) is perfectly fine just staying at home.

Dr. Janeea Wright, DVM

Dr. Wright joined the Michigan Humane team recently, and has already made her mark! A graduate of the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, she comes to us with experience in private practice along with an interest in cardiology and dedication to compassionate care. When not working with clients, Dr. Wright spends time with her two rescues, plays sports, dances and enjoys the opportunity to spend time with family.

Dr. Kaitlin Steffes
Dr. Kaitlin Steffes is a Southeast Michigan native, growing up in Algonac. She is a 2017 graduate of MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Her trusty sidekicks are two poodle mixes named Cali and Riley. Dr. Steffes also adopted an ex-thoroughbred racehorse named Hoagy and spends a lot of time horseback riding. She enjoys the variety of interesting cases that general practice has to offer, but especially enjoy ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Steffes’ hobbies include cheering for Spartan athletic teams (GO GREEN!), boating on Lake St. Clair, exploring new cuisine and culture, and enjoying the great outdoors with her four-legged companions.
