Wednesday, August 26 is #NationalDogDay. So here is a story about two very special dogs.

Cherry and Scout are BFFs

Two is better than one in some cases, and in this case, two is better!

Meet Scout and Cherry, two shepherds who are ready to find their forever homes. Scout is a 2-year-old shepherd mix who is heartworm positive but is receiving treatment. He is a laid back pup and can be a bit shy in new situations. Scout enjoys the company of his best friend, and sometimes annoying little sister, Cherry.

Cherry is about 1 -year-old and she loves her best friend Scout. She was born with a birth defect on her front leg, but she doesn’t let that stop her from playing with her favorite stuffed toys.

Scout and Cherry are not a bonded pair, but they would enjoy going to a new home together. If you are interested in adopting Scout and Cherry, please email Mary Brinker, mbrinker@michiganhumane.org, or Steve Thomas, SThomas@michiganhumane.org.
