Self-quarantining has become our way of life for the past several weeks as the COVID-19 outbreak continues. Living with a dog can help lighten the burden of social distancing. Even better for some if you add beer to the mix. That’s where Busch Beer comes in.

The brewery announced that they are gifting three months’ worth of their beer to the first 500 people who either adopt or foster a dog from Midwest Animal Rescue (h/t CNN). The “Foster a Dog, Get Busch” offer is good through April 25.

This shouldn’t need to be said but you know I have to say it:

DON’T FOSTER OR ADOPT A DOG JUST FOR FREE BEER. Duh.

Busch isn’t the first beer maker to help get dogs adopted. In February, Coors was offering $100 towards adoption fees for 1,000 people.

Michigan Humane has suspended pet adoptions indefinitely as we continue to deal with this crisis. However, the animals in our care have been placed with loving foster parents.

Interested in becoming a foster parent? Apply now at michiganhumane.org/foster. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, response time has been significantly delayed. Thanks for your patience and stay safe!
