Foster Dog Harley

Detroit Lion Golden Tate and Fiance fostering dog for MHS

December 30, 2015

Harley is a sweet one year old American Bulldog mix who came to MHS from another animal care facility. Upon medical evaluation, it was determined that Harley was going to need a little extra care, as she had several fractures in her pelvis and hind leg. She needed to spend some time in a home environment with a foster parent, which is where Golden Tate and his fiance Elise Pollard came in.

Golden and Elise have been supporters of MHS, and have fostered for MHS before. Last year they fostered a bulldog named Rosie who was going through heartworm treatment. They came to MHS to meet Harley and it was love at first sight!

Golden and Elise said Harley thinks she is a lap dog and during their time with her, she would always fall asleep with her head on their laps. Along with helping Harley heal from her fractures, Golden and Elise also taught Harley some basic commands.

After a few weeks of extra TLC from Golden and Elise, Harley healed from her fractures and found a new family who was ready to spoil her as much as her foster parents did.
