Your Tax-time Donation Can Save Animal Lives Paying taxes may be inevitable, but now it can save the lives of homeless animals! With last year’s passage of the Companion Animal Welfare Fund legislation, taxpayers can either designate a portion of their state income tax refund, or make a voluntary donation to the new interest-bearing Animal Welfare Fund in the state treasury. The fund will make monetary grants to animal welfare groups throughout the state for innovative animal sterilization, adoption and cruelty investigation programs.>>>
