The Michigan Humane Society invites all animal lovers to "Share the Love" this Valentine's Day and beyond by supporting the thousands of homeless, abused and neglected animals in our communities. The joy of flowers or candy is fleeting, but the difference made by your gift to MHS is life-saving! 

The 2010 Valentine’s Telethon aired Thursday, February 11 in short segments from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. 

“The Valentine’s Telethon raises critical funds for the Michigan Humane Society, and even more so during these challenging economic times which have increased the need for MHS’ lifesaving services,” said Cal Morgan, president and CEO for the Michigan Humane Society. “We are grateful for the generous community support which directly translates into our ability to transform animal lives.”

Although the animals who arrive at the Michigan Humane Society need different levels of care, the average cost to change the life of one animal in need is $120.  One-time or monthly donations of any amount will make a difference for animals in need of shelter, care and loving homes.

The MHS Telethon featured adoptable animals, heartwarming stories of animals rescued from abuse and neglect, and information on the Michigan Humane Society’s programs and services which impact tens of thousands of animals in need right here in our communities, each year.
