Student Projects and Animal Welfare

The Michigan Humane Society is pleased to receive frequent requests from students of all ages for information on a wide variety of animal welfare issues. We appreciate students selecting these topics for their papers, projects and speeches, as they are helpful in spreading the Michigan Humane Society’s important educational messages. Common topics fall into these general categories, but others are also welcome:

  • Adoption of homeless pets
  • Animal cruelty investigation
  • Animal overpopulation (spaying/neutering)
  • Animal rights issues
  • Michigan Humane Society programs and services/history of helping since 1877
  • Responsible pet ownership

For information specific to your topic, please contact the Michigan Humane Society’s Community Relations Department at (248) 283-1000, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Every effort will be made to provide the information requested within two business days, however, additional time is requested whenever possible.
