Why is an email address required to make an online donation?
An email address is required to make an online donation so a receipt with tax information can be sent to the donor.  If you would not like to recieve MHS news and solicitaions via email in the future, there is a checkbox that you can un-check at the time of your donation.

We are pleased to announce that online donations and other financial transactions completed through Convio powered pages on our website are PCI DSS compliant. PCI DSS is the payment card industry security requirement for entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data, and has been endorsed by all the major card brands - Visa Inc., MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB. Convio, our software provider for online marketing, fundraising and advocacy received Level 1 PCI compliance - the highest level validation.
