Do you have a question about your pet's behavior? Let us help! Michigan Humane Society's FREE Pet Behavior Help Line can provide you with information about pet
behavior, suggestions on resolving basic behavior issues and recommendations regarding where to go for help with behaviors that can't be handled over the phone.
The MHS Pet Behavior Help Line receives hundreds of calls and e-mails each month from pet owners just like you and our staff and trained volunteers will do their best to provide helpful information. Please expect to receive a return phone call from us within 48 hours of receipt of your message.

If your pet is acting out of character, your first step should be to see your veterinarian. A sudden change in behavior can often be caused by medical issues. For example, a cat that suddenly stops using it's litterbox might be suffering from an infection, or a dog that normally loves people might shy away if in pain.
