Dilly in her new home!

Animals like Dilly, who was found with a pickle jar stuck on her head and saved by the MHS Rescue team. She was adopted from the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care by a loving Grosse Pointe family.

Best Friends Club

What is a Best Friend?
MHS Best Friends are a select group of individuals who work tirelessly to achieve incredible results for the thousands of animals we care for. The Best Friends Club provides recognition for the Mutt March participants who excel in their fundraising efforts to support MHS’ mission of helping homeless, abused and neglected animals.

Becoming a Best Friend is easy:

  • Sign up online at www.michiganhumane.org/MuttMarch to participate in
    the Mutt March.
  • Set your individual fundraising goal at $1,500... or higher!
  • Send an email to your friends, family members, and coworkers asking
them to contribute to your goal of helping transform animal lives from Homeless to Loved!

Once you reach or surpass $1,500 in donations for the Mutt March, you’ll be named an MHS Best Friend.  Challenge your team members and others to become Best Friends, too.

Best Friends receive special perks, including:

  • Recognition and appreciation on the Mutt March website.
  • A 4” x 8” brick paver engraved with your name, which will be placed at
the MHS Berman Center for Animal Care in Westland.
  • The honor and pride of knowing you are helping so many animals go
    from Homeless to Loved!

Visit www.michiganhumane.org/MuttMarch to get started.

Please make a gift today

In 2012, more than 600 marchers from across Michigan raised nearly $100,000 through the Mutt March to support the Michigan Humane Society’s efforts to save homeless, abused and neglected animals, and find them loving homes.

Together, we can make 2013 even better. Together, we can be the difference in the lives of animals in need.

With your help, the Michigan Humane Society is saving lives everyday by rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for these precious animals. Join us as we transform animal lives from Homeless to Loved!

Did you know :

  • If 15 of your friends or
family members donate $100, you’re a Best Friend?
  • If you email 50 people
and everyone donates $30, you’re a Best Friend?
  • The number one reason
people don’t donate is because they were never asked?
