While the needs of every animal the Michigan Humane Society cares for are different, on average it costs MHS $156 to change the life of an animal in need.
Animals like Dilly, who was found with a pickle jar stuck on her head and saved by the MHS Rescue team. She was adopted from the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care by a loving Grosse Pointe family.

Tails are wagging all over our community today!
It was inspiring to see a record of more than 1,000 people and their pets come together for the 2013 Mutt March, to have fun while helping to change animal lives!
The efforts of all the animal lovers who walked, raised funds and donated will allow MHS to rescue, care and find loving homes for more than 600 homless animals in need.
If you still have donations to turn in, it's not too late. Personal Web Pages will remain active so that supporters can still make contributions. Any off-line donations you receive can be mailed to:

The Mutt March tradition began in 1989 in memory of a well-respected volunteer and board member, Laura Lee Greer, and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the Michigan Humane Society’s many life-saving programs and services.
