Vacation Options for When You Can't Take Your Pet With You
Families with pets have to make arrangements to keep their furry family members safe and happy while they're gone

With spring just around the corner, many of our thoughts turn to upcoming vacations.  And of course, families with pets have to make arrangements to keep their furry family members safe and happy while they’re gone.

Today, there are many choices available to vacationing pet owners.  There are individuals who will come to your house while you’re away.  Some will even perform additional duties, watering flowers, taking in mail, etc.

There are also boarding kennels who will house your dog (or cat) at their location - like a pet hotel.  Be sure before you select a hotel for your pet that you visit them beforehand, take a tour and ask lots of questions. The choice you make is what works best for you and your pet/s.

Regardless, plan ahead.  Especially if you’re planning to travel during peak times.  Pet sitters and kennels book up well in advance so if you’re planning a trip, plan for your pet now too.
