Hello Kitty

An excellent way to get to know your new cat is to sit quietly on the floor with her.  Talk softly or sing soothing songs.  If your cat is a bit shy make sure she is allowed to come to you instead of you going to her.  Softly praise her whenever she comes near you to help build her confidence.  If your cat is the playful type, you can also try using a toy to entice your cat to play.  You'll be the best of friends before you know it!
