Without her and with the temperatures dropping, it looked bleak for these chow/shepherd mixes, until someone called the Michigan Humane Society. The puppies were playing happily in the yard, but retreated back underneath the porch once Myron grabbed the first puppy, which meant that he needed to head underneath the porch himself to grab them. “It was actually pretty difficult with the space I had to work within, because it was pretty tight under there,” said Myron. After a few minutes digging around underneath the porch, Myron had wrangled up all of the puppies, who were immediately taken back to the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care to be examined by a veterinarian. Happily, the puppies were none the worse the wear for their ordeal, other than the fact that they all really needed a bath!
