MHS Low-Cost Feline Sterilization Program Now Open to All Cat Owners Heavily discounted price to include spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations
Over the past 20 years, the Michigan Humane Society (MHS) has sterilized over 250,000 animals as one of its primary proactive strategies for reducing the number of homeless pets within metro Detroit. While the positive impact has been very significant, the problem remains great.
Now, with the ever-increasing need for these services and the high number of homeless cats in the area, MHS has expanded the low-cost feline sterilization program to all cat owners, without residency or low-income requirements.
At an everyday price of just $42 per cat or kitten, the package will include spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and more, a savings of more than $100 from the regular price.
The package includes spay/neuter surgery and pain medication, rabies vaccination and FVRCP vaccination, which covers feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia (feline distemper). This low-cost package may not be used with any other discounts, coupons or special offers.
Appointments for your cat can be made at any of the three MHS veterinary centers:
- MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care: (313) 872-0004
- MHS Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care: (248) 852-7424
- MHS Berman Center for Animal Care in Westland: (734) 721-4195
