The “Certified Pre-Owned Cats” program, which has revved up cat adoptions by the hundreds since its launch in the summer of 2009, was created to help ensure that every adoptable cat finds a loving home, by waiving the adoption fees for cats ages four months and older. In an effort to move more of the current models into new homes, the program has been extended throughout 2010, as part of a strategic campaign to proactively address cat overpopulation and homelessness in southeast Michigan.
