Dog Walking in Warm Weather
Just like we humans have to be careful not to get overheated, so do our canine companions

With our dogs it is our responsibility to stop them before they get too hot.  Most of them won’t stop themselves.  Be sure to always have fresh, cool water on hand if you and your dog are going to be out and about.  Schedule plenty of “rest stops” in the shade for both of you and watch where you walk.  Certain surfaces - like black top/asphalt can become extremely hot in the sun.
