Is Your Pet Safe at the Dream Cruise?

August 19, 2016

Planning to take your dog to the Dream Cruise? Be sure to keep them safe!

Many dogs can’t handle the crowds, noise and exhaust fumes. And heatstroke is a serious concern, so consider leaving your dog at home where it’s cool and quiet.

If you do bring your dog out for a short time:

  • Limit his time out in the heat
  • Keep him out of direct sun
  • Provide a constant supply of cool water

Short-nosed breeds like bulldogs are even more prone to heatstroke, as are thick-coated dogs like huskies.

If you cruise, avoid letting your dog hang out the window by using a harness. One quick stop could send your pet flying!
