If you are at least 14 years of age and need to complete non-court ordered community service, but are unable to commit to a 4-month, 2-hour a week commitment, please contact the MHS Volunteer Department by e-mailing us at


Please note that short-term volunteers do not work directly with the animals and must be accompanied by an adult (age 25 years and older). For more information please read about other ways for kids to help the animals in our care.
