2016 Pet Photo Contest

We’re looking for Michigan’s Most Adorable Pet

June 21, 2016

It’s that time of year again when pet owners in Michigan face off to determine who has the state’s most adorable pet. Arguments rage between friends, family and stranger alike. But there is no need for fisticuffs in this epic battle as The Michigan Humane Society (MHS) is holding its 2016 Pet Photo Contest, sponsored by US-Mattress.com. You can help determine who will win the title of Michigan’s Most Adorable Pet, while helping homeless animals.

For contest details, the list of prizes, and to enter a pet photo, visit www.michiganhumane.org/photocontest

We get so many adorable submissions for this contest that picking a winner is just too tall a task for any one individual or organization, That’s why we’re leaving this choice to Michigan’s pet owners.

All pet owners are welcome to enter a photo of their pet in the contest. A minimum $25 donation is required, and the top 200 entrants on the leader board will automatically receive a spot in MHS’ 2017 Pet Calendar (calendars will be available for sale in the fall at www.ShopMichiganHumane.org and at MHS locations). Contest participants can email friends and family to support their campaign by voting with a donation; each dollar will represent one vote. The candidate with the most votes by 10:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 21 will be named “Michigan’s Most Adorable Pet.”

In addition to earning the coveted title of Michigan’s Most Adorable Pet, the winner will also receive a special “Pet of the Month” placement in the MHS 2017 Pet Calendar, three free calendars, a 15 percent discount on veterinary care for one year at any MHS veterinary center, an MHS prize pack, and free dog or cat food for six months, compliments of Purina. Great prizes will also be awarded for second and third place, including a special “Pet of the Month” placement and free calendar!
