Donate Your Old Electronics

Recycle your old electronics for the animals

June 29, 2015

Got Electronic Clutter? Donate old electronics while helping homeless animals. Local company, Tech Karma, recycles used electronics while donating to MHS!

Did you get a new smartphone, laptop or tablet? Are old electronic devices collecting dust and taking up space in your home?

Now you can clear out the clutter and recycle those unused items while also helping homeless animals at the Michigan Humane Society (MHS).

Plymouth, Mich.-based Tech Karma is collecting used electronic devices at MHS locations in Rochester Hills, Westland and Petco in Sterling Heights, recycling them and making a donation for each item to MHS.

Items collected do not have to be in working condition, but they must be small enough to fit inside the Tech Karma boxes at the shelter locations. All electronics will be professionally cleaned and data cleared.

Items collected for recycling include:

  • Cell phones and smartphones
  • iPods/MP3 players
  • Laptops and tablets
  • Digital cameras
