Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo is brought to you by the Detroit Zoo and the Michigan Humane Society. Don't miss the largest off-site adoption event in the country!  The Michigan Humane Society and Detroit Zoo will present Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo event on Saturday and Sunday, September 27 & 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Michigan Humane Society and more than 20 additional adoption groups will be on-hand with hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits available for adoption.  There is no charge for admission or parking for the event.  Adoption fees and policies are set by each participating group and not by event sponsors.  Animals will be adopted only to qualified homes.  For health and safety reasons, please leave current companion animals at home.
